Federal & Statewide Races

Governor

4-year term

Josh Shapiro (D), incumbent, vs. Stacy Garrity (R), state treasurer. Governor and lieutenant governor run as a joint ticket in the general election.

Lieutenant Governor

4-year term

Austin Davis (D), incumbent, vs. Jason Richey (R). Each candidate runs alongside their party's nominee for governor.

U.S. Representative, 12th District

2-year term

Covers parts of Westmoreland and Allegheny County (Pittsburgh area). Summer Lee (D), incumbent, vs. James Hayes (R).

U.S. Representative, 14th District

2-year term

Covers most of Westmoreland, Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties. Guy Reschenthaler (R), incumbent, vs. Chris Dziados (D).

State Legislature

PA State Senate (even-numbered districts)

4-year term

Only even-numbered districts are up in 2026. Westmoreland County falls in Senate Districts 39 (Kim Ward, R — President Pro Tempore) and 32 (Pat Stefano, R).

PA State House

2-year term

All 203 House seats are up. Westmoreland County includes House Districts 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, and 59.

Any registered voter in Pennsylvania can request a mail-in ballot — no excuse needed.

Your ballot must be received by the county elections office by 8:00 PM on Election Day. It can be returned by mail or dropped off in person.
